Research on Milling Characteristics of Titanium Alloy TC4 with Variable Helical End Milling Cutter

The application of variable helical end mills to the milling titanium alloys can suppress regeneration effect during machining process and ensure stability milling. However, due their special geometry, characteristics are also different. In this paper, alloy with a helix mill is taken as research object, force, deeply studied. Firstly, feed per tooth cutting thickness model were established, force prediction was deduced, instantaneous its variation law obtained by solution. Secondly, finite element analysis for influence angle structure on obtained. Then, dynamic equation lobe diagram drawn, analyzed. Lastly, experiment designed verify accuracy theoretical simulation; surface roughness analyzed, parameters when using investigated.
